Evaluation of my blogging experience

Oh, this going to sound very likely to my last blog, because I wrote about English III.

Well, about the experience in general of the blogs, I believe it was great, this is maybe my first time writing totally in English, but feels very good; I like it, because its feeling freely when I was writing about the topic of the day.

I think my writing skills have improved only a little, I really feel more confidence when I’m doing it, but not at all. I expect that I can improve more my skills the next semester, because when I’m playing videogames I feel shame of my English level sometimes, when I make mistakes writing or I make big mispronounces on voice chats. This is maybe the main reason why I would like to improve my English, it’s nothing serious.

Maybe in the future we should include some to choice topics, I don’t know, because the time isn’t in our favor.

I would like to wrote about videogames, because is one of the main things that I do in my free time, and I don’t know why the classmates didn’t choice it, because when we talk about us most of they liked videogames! But well, it wasn’t like that.

A subject I enjoy studying this semester

So, a subject that I enjoy studying this semester is this one, English III. Maybe because is different of the others subjects, for the blogs exactly, I like it a lot, classes are not the most interesting but the blogs are something new for me. I always looking for a instance to practice my English, because I know isn’t the best, I have a lot of problems communicating with people from others countries when I am playing online and I feel a little of shame of my expression in those moments.

In this subject we practice our written English and pronunciation too, the main activities are two: Classes, that aren’t the most stimulant, for me at least, and Blogs, where we write freely about a topic.

The main contents we see in class, is about daily situations, where we see how to use some terms and learn about pronunciation, for example: Sports, wears, etc. We often practice with our classmates too during the class.

And well, that’s all. I only expect that I can practice more my English the next semester, in English IV.

Blog 9: Movies & Series

I’m not a fan of movies or series at all, and the series I know are from my mother, who really likes police series, she sees the AXN channel the most part of the time, and the one I like the most out of these is The Mentalist. The director is Bruno Heller, a British screenwriter. The main character is Patrick Jane interpreted by Simon Baker.

The series follows Patrick Jane, an independent consultant for the California Bureau of Investigation (CBI) based in Sacramento, California. Although not an officer of the law, he uses his skills from his former career as a successful, yet admittedly fraudulent, psychic medium to help a team of CBI agents solve murders. But, the real reason for Jane to get in law enforcement is for tracking the serial killer known as Red John, who was the responsible for the brutal murders of his wife and daughter. Despite that serious plot, the series is full of irreverent comedy from Jane, and that’s the reason why I like it, it’s a really funny series. I like it too, because I don’t need to see the whole series to enjoy one episode, and well, it’s a good time to spend with my mother.

A career-related website that I enjoy visiting.

Compound Interest is an awesome website for any chemistry-related career; they share infographics about chemistry compounds in general, in social medias, and not only medicinal chemistry (the reason why I gave them thumbs up in Facebook, perhaps I also enjoy food chemistry), so is a perfect website to satisfy curiosity for any person who likes chemistry as such. Their infographics are pretty simple and explicative for all, so you don’t need to be a professional or an expert to understand them. But being more honest, I didn’t visit the website for a year maybe, because in the year that I’m in my career I need to read a lot about pharmacology, thus the infographics are a very poor now compared to the information I need to know. Perhaps, food chemistry infographics still satisfy my curiosity.

My favourite Hero

Making my choice took me a long time, I don’t really like the super heroes topic, so I decided for anime hero. Shiroe, from Log Horizon is the main character of the series, he is very calm, smart and calculator person. The background of the anime in nowadays is very cliché, he was gamer who gets trapped in his favourite MMORPG videogame with large amount of the players, after a new patch of the game, in their own avatars, then the chaos star. The people try to survive in the completely anarchy, attacking others and stealing their goods. Slowly, thanks to more powerful guilds, the order and then democracy start, with the mediation of our main character Shiroe, who after takes the position of leader of his own guild and the respect of the others leaders, he decided to create The Roundtable, to take the important decisions for the people who live in Akibahara, the city of the adventurers. This anime really have a political and economy vision, such a good MMORPG should have. After the main problems for coexistence were solved, the anime put the plot of raids on the table, and the fact of the die in that world, because everyone can respawn when they die, but they lost part of their memories every time the respawn.



The writer of the original novels is Mamare Touno.

I like this character because he resolved all the problems with his smartness, because he literally don’t have any offensive power, as the Enchanter (support mage) who is, and it’s depend all the history of the help of his friends.
